First appointment

Event of life, comprehensive approach to wellness, or more specific issues, a first meeting will help identify difficulties and define goals and modalities of the counseling setting.

This first contact is important for you to explain why you came and what lead you to see a psychologist. You can also get an idea of how I work and decide if it suits you.

Then, if I am able to help you, we will set another appointment. Otherwise, if your difficulties or the nature of your request are beyond my skills, I will direct you to another professional in the psychology or medical field in line with your expectations.

Clinical

Clinical

In 1949, Daniel Lagache has provided a definition of clinical psychology as "a science of human behavior, based primarily on observation and in-depth analysis of individual cases, both normal and pathological, that can extend to groups. "

Clinical psychology considers the client as an oneness, which means that symptoms are brought in connection with the context (experience, past history, trauma ... ).

The psychologist tries to understand the client with the techniques and methods of his discipline but also with what he is as a person.

Assessment

Assessment

A psychological assessment is a testing process. It uses a combination of techniques and tools to help shape some hypotheses about a person and their behavior, personality and capabilities. Usually, a full medical examination has been done before, in order to rule out the possibilities of a disease or an organic cause to the individual's symptoms.
