Children's disorders

All children experience difficulties over the course of their development. It can be transient or persistent.

In both cases, it is important to try and identify signs of suffering in their behaviors such as : loss of appetite, decrease or low desire to play or learn, withdrawal from interactions with other children, aggressive or strong opposition behavior...

In these cases, the intervention of a psychologist, as a neutral person, can help the child to express what he is going through. This kind of intervention always involves the whole family. However, it is really important to respect the confidentiality of the one-on-one sessions with the child to foster his trust.

Nowadays, a lot of people decide to go overseas, either as a personal choice or for professional purposes. Both the process of preparation before departure and the process of returning home are underestimated.

Moving in itself is already an important emotional change, so when you add to it a loss of both cultural and langage bearings, the situation can easily become very hard to handle. That's why it's really important to prepare the move.

Likewise, we too often neglect the counter choc operating when you are coming back to your nativ country where you have to live again amongst what is suppose to be familiar.

The psychologist intervention before, during and after this, help to apprehend all the changes related to the expatriation process in a peaceful way.

Stress, anxiety, anguish

It is sometimes complicated to put a word on the state of tension we feel, whether it is in a work environment or in a personal situation.

The psychologist can help you to identify the reasons of this emotional state in order to improve your daily life.

Dealing with emotions

There are six basic emotions : joy , fear, sadness, anger, surprise and disgust.

The expression of those emotions may differ according to our education, our culture and our country of origins, but most of the time we are able to recognize them universally.

All emotions are useful, as they allow us to deal with events that we experience on a daily basis. But sometimes they are invasive and it becomes difficult to keep the control over them.

The psychologist is here to support and help you identify, understand and manage these emotional states.
